Irmgard Schaller has performed hundreds of chamber music concerts in venues like the Wigmore Hall, the Cité de la Musique, the Kölner Philharmonie, the Concertgebouw of Amsterdam, the Wiener Konzerthaus - and solo in the Berliner Philharmonie.
From 1994 to 2015 she was a member of the internationally renowned chamber music ensemble London Baroque - as first violin until the birth of her first child, and subsequently on viola.
Since 1988 she has been a member of Frans Brüggen‘s Orchestra of the 18th Century, touring and recording world-wide.
She is also deeply committed to teaching - with private pupils, and previously on summer courses for Early Music, as a guest professor for Baroque Violin at the Music Academy of Bydgoszcz, and at the Musikhochschule in Cologne.
